LONGi Ranks Top 200 Cleanest Companies in the World!

Source:LONGi

On February 19, American non-profit organization As You Sow and Canadian media and research company Corporate Knights released the latest data of the Carbon Clean200 index, adjusting the ranking of the world’s 200 cleanest publicly traded company. LONGi ranked 200 cleanest companies in the world, 90th in the world and 7th in China.

As a leading solar energy technology company in the world, LONGi has always been committed to promoting the wider application of green energy through technological progress to realize the corporate vision of “making good use of the sun’s light to create a green energy world”. In the actual production process, LONGi practices the concept of low-carbon clean development, and actively distributes hydropower resources rich in China’s Yunnan and Kuching in Malaysia, and achieves full-scale green production through “producing green energy with green energy”, realizing the amplification of solar energy products produced with 1kW·h of hydropower to generate 30kW·h of clean electricity.

In 2018, LONGi once again announced the development model of “Solar for Solar- Carbon Negative Earth”, hoping to broaden the application scenarios of photovoltaic power generation and promote its wider use in the future through the way of “producing solar energy with solar energy”. Photovoltaic is used to desalinate seawater, irrigate deserts and improve the earth’s ecology. Eventually, carbon emissions will be absorbed and solidified through large-scale desert greening, and the goal of “negative-carbon development” will be achieved on the basis of “zero-carbon development”.

Carbon Clean 200 Index

The Carbon Clean 200 Index was published in July 2016. It ranks the absolute income of publicly traded companies in low-carbon products and services in the world every six months. The entry criteria are market value of not less than US $ 1 billion with income from clean energy of more than 10%, aiming to encourage enterprises and investors to build a clean energy future. In this list, 36 Chinese enterprises are shortlisted, and China has the largest number of shortlisted enterprises.
